Set within the courtyard at Barlow Woodseats Hall, Johnnygate Grange is our largest cottage and a great choice for families and groups staying together.
There are five en-suite bedrooms, including a ground-floor bedroom with a walk-in wet room for guests with reduced mobility. Downstairs, there’s a generous sitting room and a modern kitchen and dining area, giving everyone plenty of space to relax during their stay.

All three bedrooms have their own en-suite, with a choice of double, king and twin/super king rooms. Downstairs, there’s a spacious sitting room and a modern kitchen and dining area, giving you everything you need for a relaxed stay at the Hall.

On the Edge of the Peak District
Barlow Woodseats Hall sits in the Derbyshire countryside between the villages of Barlow and Millthorpe, with the Peak District just beyond.
There are great walks straight from the door, good local pubs and plenty to explore nearby. Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall are all within easy reach, alongside some of the Peak District’s best walking, cycling and countryside.
And while it feels wonderfully tucked away, we’re easy to reach — around 20 minutes from Junction 29 of the M1, with Chesterfield the nearest railway station.
